First building architecture plan
The architecture plan for the ESTHER hosting laboratory has been finalized.
The ESTHER laboratory will be located in the premises of the Taguspark IST campus, as a first section of a larger building which will host the IPFN and INESC laboratories in the future.
IST celebrates the 50th anniversary of the First Human Spaceflight
By the initiative of IST, Lisbon celebrates the 50th anniversary of the First Human Spaceflight. This year, Yuri’s Night has been organized in partnership between IST, IPFN, and Radio Zero.
The program of the celebrations includes:
– The premiere exhibition of the movie “First Orbit” in the central Hall of IST
– A thematic exposition about Mars imagery, also in the central Hall of IST
– The first seminar on SPACE: The Portuguese contribution for research and development
– a Yuri’s Night party in AEIST bar.
A presentation about the ESTHER project has been included in the seminar program. The PDF version of the presentation slides can be downloaded here.

Contract awarded!
ESA has agreed to proceed with the contract preparation for the Kinetic Shock-Tube TRP, choosing ESTHER consortium as the TRP contractor.
